Sterna is a private travel hub named after the Arctic tern — the bird with the longest migration. It is for invited travellers only: there is no public sign-up. You join a trip from an invite link, alone or with a group.
A trip is planned from top to bottom: the route as stops on a map with how you get between them and how far it is, a day-by-day schedule with its own map per day, documents, a packing list that is each person’s own, a budget with Splitwise-style splits and settling up, the people, and a private feed for messages and photos. A trip can start from a template, and any trip can become one. One currency per trip. English and Portuguese in the app.
It is built with Vue and TypeScript on Supabase, installs as a PWA and keeps working offline. The maps are OpenStreetMap. It lives at sterna.eduardomarques.dev.
